PREPARED SLIDE FOR MICROSCOPE, ANIMAL TISSUE:- Mammal: Stomach

₹26

The stomach is composed of many layers of tissue. The mucosa (mucous membrane) is the stomach's inner lining. When the stomach is empty, the mucosa appears ridged. As the stomach fills with food, the ridges (rugae) smooth out. The submucosa is the next layer that covers the mucosa. It is composed of connective tissue, which contains bigger blood and lymph arteries, nerve cells, and fibres. The layer that covers the submucosa is known as the muscularis propria (or muscularis externa). It is the stomach's major muscle and is composed of three layers of muscle. The fibrous membrane that covers the exterior of the stomach is known as the serosa. The stomach serosa is also known as the visceral peritoneum
