Heating Effect from Electricity DIY Kit

₹259

Working Principle - Resistance in any circuit causes heating

We all know that resistance to the flow of current causes heat to be produced. This principle of electricity is used in our day to day lives. The heating elements in geysers, the electric blowers, the bulbs. Many of our other industrial applications make use of this property of electricity i.e. Electric welding, electric furnaces.
The aim of this experiment is to build a small hot wire kit working on the same principle.

  • Here the students observe the relation ship between thickness of the wire and the resistance offered by it. They learn about the relationship between the thickness of the wire and the resistance offered by it i.e.thinner the wire, more is the resistance. Similarly thicker the current carrying conductor, lesser the resistance.
  • Learning some principles of electricity can be a piece of cake for students with the help of this Physics experiment.
  • Correlation between theory and practical becomes easier.
