Chlorella is a genus of roughly thirteen single-celled species called green algae with in Chlorophyta division. The cells are spherical in form, 2 to 10 m in diameter, and lack flagella. Chlorophyll-a and -b are green photosynthetic pigments found in chloroplasts. Chlorella cells proliferate quickly under ideal circumstances, requiring just carbon dioxide, water, sunshine, and a little quantity of minerals to replicate.
