Throughout pharmaceutical industry, friability testing has become an accepted technology and the instrument used in to perform this process is called Friabilator or Friability Tester. In friability test, samples are counted and weighted then tumbled in rotating drums with baffles, when the process is stopped; samples are moved out from the instrument, wiped-off dust and weighted again. The difference between the weight before and after the process is determined as Friability and should not exceed 1%, which is considered an ideal percentage. In some cases, where diameter of tablets is greater than 13mm, such tablets are tested on drums 10° tilted.</p>

    Antibiotic Zone Reader

The antibiotic zone reader provides a rapid yet accurate method for determining the strength of antibiotic materials by measuring the diameter of an inhibition zone in a petri-dish. The antibiotic zone reader's discs are placed on a petri-dish prepared with agar and inoculated with bacteria. After incubation, the bacteria cover the entire dish except for a circular inhibition zone around, it being a function of the strength of the antibiotic.
  • Autoclave

    Autoclave

An autoclave is a machine that is used to eradicate biohazardous waste from the surface of tools or instruments. Autoclaves can sterilize solids, liquids, hollows, and instruments of various shapes and sizes through physical means by using pressure, temperature and steam. They are often referred to as steam sterilization machines.

    Double Cone Blender

The double cone blender is efficient in mixing, uniform blending and de-agglomeration and is used to produce homogeneous solid-solid mixture and dry off powders and granules. Mixing is a common process step in the manufacture of products for industries such as healthcare, food, chemical, cosmetics, detergents, fertilizers and plastics. The conical shape at both ends enables uniform mixing and easy discharge. Powder is loaded into the cone through a wide opening and discharged through a butterfly or a Slide valve. The slant double cone design eliminates dead spots.
  • Hot Air Oven

    Hot Air Oven

Hot air ovens are electrical devices which use dry heat to sterilize. It heats the oven and uses a fan to move the hot air around. This helps prevent the hot air from rising to the top of the oven and keeping the cooler air at the bottom. The fan keeps the hot air moving around at a consistent temperature throughout the oven. It is available in aluminium and stainless steel.
